WINGS corporate initiative

WINGS-CI group at WINGSForum 2006

WINGS-CI (corporate initiative) is exploring how to convene organisations supporting the work of corporate grantmakers. Soon a more comprehensive programme of work will be developed and a constituent group identified. All items on this website relevant for this constituent group are marked by the WINGS corporate initiative tag.

Activities are guided by the following working groups:

  • WINGS-CI strategy/direction setting
    Fran Eaton (Council on Foundations), Jane Kenny (Philanthropy Australia), Sevdalina Rukanova (European Foundation Centre), Kayode Samuel (Consultant to Ford Foundation - Office for West Africa), Colleen du Toit (Southern African Grantmakers' Association)
    Task: conceptual discussion/policy/strategy and development of the concept paper, visioning, role of corporates.
  • WINGS-CI programming/good practice
    Amena Hasan (Pakistan Centre for Philanthropy), Pavlína Kalousová (Czech Donors Forum), Bill King (Minnesota Council on Foundations), Patricia Robinson (Jamaica Foundations and Corporate Donors), Gil Salazar (Philippine Business for Social Progress, PBSP), Rory Francisco-Tolentino (Asia Pacific Philanthropy Consortium, APPC)
    Task: knowledge management and development.
  • WINGS-CI statellite meeting
    Marion Amartey (Charities Aid Foundation), Mary Margaret M. Barro (League of Corporate Foundations, Philippines),  Fran Eaton (Council on Foundations, United States), Pavlína Kalousová (Czech Donors Forum), Bill King (Minnesota Council on Foundations), Nancy Roberts (Connecticut Council for Philanthropy), Fernando Rossetti (Grupo de Institutos, Fundações e Empresas, GIFE), Gil Salazar (Philippine Business for Social Progress, PBSP), Rory Francisco-Tolentino (Asia Pacific Philanthropy Consortium, APPC).
    Task: Specifically responsible for planning the satellite meeting attached to WINGSForum 2006.
  • WINGS-CI mapping

    Task: exploring and prioritising what information should be collected from the network and how to make it available (especially through the website).
