The WINGS Mission and Vision were officially updated in April 2007 following a strategic planning session by the WINGS Coordinating Committee; also added at this time were a new statement of Values and Principles.

Our mission
WINGS is a worldwide network that seeks to strengthen philanthropy and a culture of giving through mutual learning and support, knowledge sharing and professional development among its participants. WINGS also strives to give voice and visibility to philanthropy at a global level.

New projects
From time to time, WINGS will be presented with requests or opportunities for collaboration on projects and services by external agencies or from within the network. In looking at whether to become involved in a new initiative or project, WINGS will look at a series of questions to determine the appropriateness of new activity.
