Message from Global Fund for Community Foundations (GFCF):
Nepal is reeling from the effects of the earthquake that hit the country on 25th April 2015. As the immediate emergency response gets underway and in the reconstruction that follows, it will be crucial for local needs and voices to be taken into consideration and that grassroots groups are part of efforts to rebuild, strengthen, and expand sustainable development in Nepal’s rural areas.
Tewa, the Nepal Women’s Fund, has been working with grassroots groups across Nepal for the past twenty years and — uniquely in that country — encouraging Nepali citizens to support its work by building up a network of 3,000 local donors. Tewa is a long-term grant partner of the GFCF and any donations made to support Tewa’s work will be transferred directly to them. Tewa’s staff are, thankfully, all safe.

Message from Charities Aid Foundation (CAF):
A 7.9 magnitude earthquake centered less than 50 miles from Kathmandu rocked Nepal with devastating force on Saturday, destroying lives, property and a way of life. We know you are called upon to do so much for so many, and at CAF America, we want to make certain you have the ability to support any cause, anywhere in the world at any time.
CAF America is responding to this disaster by making it easy for our donors to give quickly and efficiently to support the noble relief efforts that are already in progress. The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) is already responding on the ground in coordination with the Nepal Red Cross and urgently needs our assistance.
We have set up a new donation page specifically for this cause where you can explore the list of eligible organizations that are currently deploying relief efforts in Nepal: https://donatenow.networkforgood.org/helpnepal?code=nepal
