Center for Disaster Philanthropy (CDP) has launched the CDP Refugee Crisis Fund.
Conditions are getting worse for refugees in Western Europe. While governments wrangle with the politics and policy surrounding refugees, private funders have the ability to quickly provide help and support to people who are miles from home and arriving with little or no possessions, clothing or money. This vital support will assist the crisis that has become the defining disaster of this decade. The unprecedented movement of people around the world has created the highest number of displaced persons since World War II.

Center for Disaster Philanthropy’s 15th September webinar, The European Refugee Crisis: How Funders Can Help, explores how the refugee crisis in Europe is closely linked to the ongoing complex humanitarian emergency in Syria; and the gap in funding, while frustrating to those responding to the crisis, leaves private donors a wide array of options to act quickly and thoughtfully.
