Context and Data — Human Rights Funding in Sub-Saharan Africa, Wed 30 September 2015, 1:00pm EDT | Register
The issue of human rights is a local and global concern facing communities among the diverse landscapes and context in countries across Africa. This webinar organized by Africa Grantmakers’ Affinity Group (AGAG) explores the intersection of environment, climate, and human rights, its impact on women and indigenous communities and how local organizations are working to help their communities address these issues in West Africa.
It will also explore what the data on human rights funding in Sub-Saharan Africa reveals about the role philanthropy is playing. Christen Dobson, Program Director, Research and Policy, IHRFG, will share research from IHRFG's Advancing Human Rights: The State of Global Foundation Grantmaking report.
