Glossaries
The WINGS glossaries are a work in progress. While WINGS uses English (US) as the primary language of communication, the global nature of the network means that there are a variety of interpretations for terms used in the field of philanthropy, depending upon cultural and legal contexts. Some of the definitions in these glossaries are found to be specific to particular countries or regions; those countries or regions are shown in italics.
The WINGS secretariat continues to collect information from as many regions of the world as possible. If, in using these glossaries, you have suggestions for terms to be added and/or definitions to be modified or expanded, please contact the WINGS secretariat.
