Purpose/Mission:

East Africa Association of Grantmakers (EAAG) is an initiative of a group of Trusts and Foundations working in Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania who came together to form a membership organization for grant making bodies and philanthropic organizations across the region. EAAG members share a fundamental belief in the importance of nurturing a strong culture of local giving and resource mobilization in East Africa and promoting effective grantmaking for sustainable development.

Our mission is to nurture and enhance a culture of local giving and resource mobilization through the growth of vibrant grant making in East Africa.

 

Who we serve:

EAAG opens its membership to Grantmaking organizations in the region. Our members are drawn from Family Foundations, Corprate Foundations, Community Foundations, Private Foundations and other organizations in the philanthropic and grant making sector. EAAG currently has 20 members.
