Barry Gaberman Lecture on Global Philanthropy: DonorsMessages for BarryThe response to the call for donations to the Lecture Fund has been overwhelming. Many messages have poured in, acknowledging Barry's contributions to the field of philanthropy. On this page we share a few of these. Congratulations on your visionary leadership in philanthropy over many years. With great admiration, Joel Fleishman, President, Ruth Z Fleishman Foundation In support of good ideas. The Van Leer Jerusalem Institute [We] owe you a deep debt of gratitude for your many contributions to our work and to the field of international grantmaking in particular. As a member of the Councils board from 1992 1998 and as chair of the International Committee from 1993-1996, you contributed significantly to shaping and focusing the Council's work during a dynamic period of growth and opportunity. And you steadfastly pressed your vision of a global philanthropic infrastructure that ultimately led to the creation of the WINGS network in 1999. Thank you, Barry, for your intellectual leadership, practical wisdom, and personal humanity. The Council on Foundations Donors (in alphabetical order)Individuals Aaron I.
