About peer learning WINGS convenes peer learning events for grantmaker associations and support organisations in the WINGS network. Peer learning events are face-to-face meetings which have proven effective in creating a learning environment among senior staff members of organisations participating in the network. Topics are identified based on the expressed priorities of the network, and the agenda for each event is planned by the participants. Participants themselves also serve as resource people and session moderators to provide an opportunity for peers to come together to consider issues of mutual interest, participate in joint problem solving, gain new ideas and information, and build relationships and ongoing connections. WINGS aims to capture all the learning from these events to help participants feed back the experience to their own organisations and to share learning and outcomes with the wider network. Peer learning events (PLE)

September 2008 PLE to be held in Brussels

NEW! WINGS is now accepting applications from network participants for the network's next peer learning event (PLE). This PLE will provide the opportunity for colleagues from across the world to come together and discuss the topic: "How can we strengthen and support peer learning among and within our WINGS network participants?" More specifically, participants will address the following questions:

• What are three things that challenge your work in relation to peer learning?
• What are the common challenges that cut across your constituencies or stakeholders?

This peer learning event will run for three days, from September 10 to 12, 2008 in Brussels, Belgium with the European Foundation Centre (EFC) as host.

Given that this PLE is intended both to facilitate peer learning among network participants and to help them enhance their own peer learning programs for their constituencies, WINGS would specifically like to invite grantmaker associations and support organizations in the network to send their CEO/Executive Director or senior staff responsible for member services or capacity building activities.
