Translation

WINGS has only limited resources available to translate its documents (see our publications) into languages other than English. An example is the Community Foundations Global Status Report which is available in English and Spanish.

Some WINGS participants may have translated this or other WINGS publications. We would like to hear about this and help making them available to a wider audience. Please contact info@wingsweb.org if you have prepared translations of materials from WINGS or from the network, or you know of such translations.

WINGS-CF adaptation and translation fund

In 2002, WINGS-CF introduced a small grants fund to assist WINGS-CF participating organisations in translating community foundation resource materials. The WINGS grants matched funds or resources of applying organisations (such as the time of a staff member or volunteer, the donated time of a translator, or the contribution of resources by a local funder) to make the translation work possible. Applying organisations were responsible for undertaking or overseeing the adaptation and translation work themselves.

A restart of the program is being considered. Participants will be notified.
